Intergalactic Commission – 6th Commission

To the People of the World

To the adherents of the Zezta International in the five continents.

Companeros y Companeras:

The EZLN, through the Intergalactic Commission and the 6th Commission, is convoking a meeting of the Zapatista and the people of the world

This first meeting will be held on the 30th & 31st of December, 2006 and the 1st and 2nd of January, 2007. This meeting will take place in the Caracol de Oventik with the following objectives:

1. So that the different organizations, groups, collectives and individuals from other countries, that fight and resist in the 5 continents, that fight for humanity and against neoliberalism, come to know the experiences of struggle of the indigenous Zapatista communities and how they organize with their own government, so that those of the 5 Juntas de Buen Gobierno can discuss directly with those that are present at this Encounter.

2. So that the Zapatistas and their authorities learn about the experiences and stories of struggle in other countries of the 5 continents that struggle and resist for humanity and again neoliberalism from their own voices.

3. So that the Zapatistas and the organizations, groups, collectives and individuals from other countries, that fight for humanity and resist neoliberalism throughout the whole world can relate and communicate directly without any intermediaries in order to offer mutual support and solidarity.

4. To propose and come to an accord on the means, modes and forms of communication between the organizations, groups, collectives and individuals who fight and resist in the 5 continents.

5. To send a message of support to the struggles that, against the power of capital, in reality sustain peoples in diverse points throughout the planet.

6. To make and discuss proposals for the next Intergalactic encounter, including dates and places.

The 2nd encounter will be for the 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31st of July of 2007.

It will take place in five Caracoles with the same objectives

21 – in Oventik – Inauguration
22 – Work
23 – travel to Morelia
24 – Work
25 – travel to Roberto Barrios
26 – Work
27 – travel to Garrucha
28 – Work
29 – Travel to Realidad
30 – Work and Closing
31 – Return to San Cristobal

In each Caracol will participate authorities of Los Marez and La Junta de Buen Gobierno, companeras and companeros commanders, where they will share their experiences of struggle with their own autonomous governments, but above all we will continue to discuss proposals for the next Intergalactic Encounter, including dates and places.
